WORKS MINISTRY COMPLETES THE REVAMP OF AL MAZARI’A AVENUE IN JASRA

MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Eng. Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has recently completed the revamp of Al Mazari’a Avenue in Jasra at a length of 5.7km; serving 204 residential units. According to Al Salah, the development plan included revamping Al Mazari’a Avenue from its intersection with Avenue 2 in Block 1002 at the North to its intersection with Zaid bin Omaira Avenue at the South.
 
The BD698,812 project was awarded to Bahrain Motors by the Tender Board. ‘The project comprises of re-paving the avenue with a new asphalt layer following the modification of the avenue surface to prevent rain water from pooling, rectifying the damaged parts of the avenue, signage and painting works,’ said Al Salah. ‘Maintaining Al Mazari’a Avenue will increase its life span from 15-20 years and will also prevent further damage from occurring in the future.’ he added.
