Cost Engineering Directorate (CED)
The Cost Engineering Directorate (CED) is responsible for all issues pertaining to the preparation and management of tender documents, and all tasks related to public works contracts during project implementation and maintenance.
The CED manages contracting jobs and contracting agreements and oversees Ministry projects during maintenance periods. In addition to managing the tender process, it also handles the financial and legal aspects of tenders. The Directorate assesses and approves contractors for Ministry projects and acts as an arbitrator in the event of construction disputes.
The CED ensures that all aspects of tendering and contracting that the Ministry participates in are conducted at the highest level and follow tender law and implementation regulations.
