1.2 Submittals
1.2.1 General
In addition to the materials submittals required for each ironmongery item, the Contractor shall
submit the following:
• Full catalogue for approval of quality by Engineer followed by ironmongery shop drawings and
an ironmongery schedule of all ironmongery required. The schedule shall follow the
requirements of the specifications and list type, manufacturer’s name and number, finish and
location prior to delivery of ironmongery,
• Schedules: The Contractor is to submit 5 (five) copies of the ironmongery schedule in the
manner and format agreed, complying with the actual construction progress schedule
requirements. • A separate key schedule is to be provided, showing clearly how the Engineer’s final
instructions on keying of locks have been fulfilled. Ironmongery schedules are intended for
the co-ordination of the work. Review and acceptance by the Engineer does not relieve the
Contractor of his contractual responsibility to fulfil the requirements as shown and specified.
• Samples: At time of submission of ironmongery schedules, and before any material is
ordered, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for his review one of each sample item
he may require. Samples shall be plainly marked, giving the ironmongery number used in the
