WORKS MINISTRY ACHIEVES 77% PROGRESS IN THE URGENT WORKS FOR LIFTING AND PUMPING STATIONS

The Sanitary Engineering Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Eng. Asma Murad revealed that the Ministry has achieved 77% progress in the urgent works for providing and installing lifting and pumping stations. The project is part of the Ministry's plan to upgrade sewerage networks throughout the Kingdom.

Murad explained that the project aims to maintain pumping and lifting stations, increase their efficiency and prolong their life cycle, in addition to limiting damages and therefore solving the issue of sewage flood that could occur in the area connected to those stations.

The projects comprises of surveying 71 lifting and pumping stations, exporting and replacing some of the pumps and control panels and carrying out a number of electro mechanical improvements.

The BD1,547,650 project was awarded to Zohal Construction Company.
