Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Eng. Sayyed Bader Alawi revealed that the Ministry has completed the construction of the service road along Salmabad Avenue; leading to Road 1206 in Block 712 at the Northern Governorate. The total length of the road is 2.2km.
Alawi explained that the project is included within the Ministry's plan aiming to improve infrastructure services and accommodate citizens' needs in coordination with the concerned Municipal Council.
According to Alawi, the project comprises of levelling and reclamation works, implementing ground channels for future usage, constructing a storm water drainage network, constructing pavements, signage and painting ground marks for the safety of road users.
The BD309,713 project was awarded to JAHICON Engineering.
