THERE ARE 5 ENTRANCES TO SERVE THE EDUCATIONAL AREA IN ISA TOWN

​​The educational area in Isa Town is being taken care of by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning through the implementation of roads projects that aim to improve traffic flow and alleviate congestions in the area during peak hours. The educational area contains 10 schools, buildings belonging to the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic, buildings belonging to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information, the Information & eGovernment Authority and the former Central Governorate Premises in addition to other important institutions.

The Ministry is implementing roads projects in the area in coordination with other concerned government entities, such as the Ministry of Education and the Traffic General Directorate, where all three parties play a vital; role in implementing the projects that contribute to increasing traffic safety levels in the vicinity of government and private schools, including the educational area in Isa Town.

There are 5 entrances serving the educational area, and the Ministry has also recently carried out expansion works for the entrance to the educational area in Isa Town, where Road 4013 extending from Estiqlal Highway at the North to the roundabout ending along Avenue 41 at the South has been expanded. The expansion works comprised of transforming the 7.1km long avenue into a three lane avenue; 2 lanes for entering the educational area and one lane for exiting the area, rectifying the junction opposite to the Ministry of Education's gate and allocating a lane only to enter the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry is also working on expanding the road separating Al Iman and Al Bayan Schools, after owning part of Al Bayan School's boundaries from the East. The owned part is presently being demolished prior to amending the road inclination and re-paving it.​

In the past years, the Ministry implemented a number of projects aiming to provide extra entrances to serve the schools nearby 16 December Avenue, where a service carriageway and a parking area have been constructed to serve the schools goers. Also, a number of roads has been transformed into one-way roads to increase traffic flow.
