Works Affairs Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Eng. Ahmed Al Khayyat visited Hunainiya Secondary School for Boys at the Southern Governorate to inspect progress in the project; as part of his follow-up to the Construction Projects & Maintenance Sector's projects.
Al Khayyat stated that the project is part of a string of school projects belonging to the Ministry of Education and being implemented as part of the Gulf Development Program. The school is planned to be handed over by the end of August this year; as agreed with the contractor. External and internal finishing works are near completion, in addition to the installation of control systems, multi-media and information technology system. Work is underway to commence operation trials, with an overall progress of 98%.
Al Khayyat stated that the Ministry is seeking to realize development requirements in the Kingdom of Bahrain, therefore achieving sustainability in relation to education services in line with the Ministry of Education's requirements. Hunainiya Secondary School for Boys will be the 3rd secondary boys school in Riffa, after Al Wahda School and East Riffa Secondary School.
