The Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Khalifa Al Mansoor revealed that the Ministry has achieved 87% progress in East Riffa E6 Sewerage Project, where 70% of houses in Blocks 909, 905, 903 and 901 have been connected to the network so far.
The project is hoped to complete by the last quarter of this year. According to Al Mansoor, the Ministry has extended 31km out of a total of 33km long sewerage extensions. 96% of sub-connections and 88% of side connections have been completed, in addition to connecting 1250 real estates out of a total of 1740.
The BD8 million project comprises of stage 1 (the Southern part of the project), which covers Blocks 903 & 909, and stage 2 (Northern part of the project); covering Blocks 901, 903 & 905.
