AL SALAH INSPECTS ABU SHAHEEN, DAIBAL AND NOON AVENUES REVAMP PROJECT

Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Raed Al Salah visited Abu Shaheen, Daibal and Noon Avenues in Riffa to inspect work progress in the project, which is being implemented as part of the Ministry’s program to improve infrastructure in various areas in the Kingdom and attend to citizens’ and residents’ needs and requirements.
 
The visit included a detailed presentation about the project, which is now 15% complete. Works in the project comprise of revamping roads at a length of 6.7km, re-paving the avenues with asphalt, constructing parking spaces in front of commercial shops, providing paved passages for pedestrians, and installing traffic signs and instructions to increase traffic safety levels.
 
Also, a storm water drainage system will be implemented; including sewerage tanks and ground channels to prevent asphalt cutting in the future.
 
The lighting system will also be improved in collaboration with the Electricity & Water Authority; including the installation of new light poles.
 
The BD698,717 project was awarded to National Excavation Establishment.
 
The Ministry apologizes for any inconvenience and urges citizens and residents to adhere to traffic and warning signs and diversions at the project location.
