Roads Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Huda Fakhro met with representative to the Southern Governorate’s 7th Constituency Ahmed Yousif Al Ansari and representative to the Southern Governorate’s 8th Constituency Bader Saleh Al Tamimi, where she commended the role extended by Municipal Councils in accommodating citizens’ needs and providing them with the best services.
The meeting highlighted a number of issues related to the roads sector at both the 7th and 8th Constituencies of the Southern Governorate, including the revamp of Hawar Avenue; located between Askar and Jaw Villages (Blocks 960, 959, 958 and 957).
The meeting also referred to the removal of some speed humps implemented along this road, as per the request of residents of the area.
At the end of the meeting, Fakhro stressed the Ministry’s keenness to look into all requests and applications and direct the concerned entities at the Ministry to prepare the needed reports prior to implementation.
