10652 USERS FOR MOW’S ELECTRONIC SERVICES DURING THE FIRST HALF OF 2014

MoW’s Information Technology Director Hisham Sater revealed that the number of users for the Ministry’s 11 electronic services reached 10,652 users during the first half of 2014. The services can be accessed through both the Ministry’s portal www.works.gov.bh, and the eGovernment portal www.bahrain.bh. According to Sater, the statistics revealed that the Materials Testing Results Services targeted the highest number of users; with 9863 users, after which came the Material/Product Assessment eService with 250 users, and then the Report of Road Fault with 234 users. The other eServices are the sanitary engineering complaints, sewage network connection requests, traffic signals maintenance requests, requesting permission for unusual loads, contractors qualification service, traffic diversion request service and building maintenance service.’ he explained. ‘The Ministry is keen to apply the latest technology to improve services and cope with the development in the eGovernment’s program. The rise in the number of users for the eServices indicates the awareness of the Bahraini society,’ said Sater.
