MoW’s Construction & Maintenance Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Mona Al Motawa visited the Halat Bu Maher Health Centre in Muharraq to inspect work progress in the project, accompanied by Chief of Building Construction Supervision Department Eng. Shihab Ali Bader, the supervision team from the Ministry and the representative from Arados Contracting & Maintenance Company. Al Motawa stated that the mechanical works involved in the project are now 90% complete and the electrical works are 90% complete as well, while the total project is 89% complete. The BD4,594,521 contracting works are being implemented by Arados Contracting & Maintenance Company.
The 3 storey Centre covers an area of 7072 m2, and consists of a basement and a parking lot covering an area of 13,674 m2. The ground floor includes regular inspection rooms and fast check-up rooms, treatment services and short-stay services, in addition to the pharmacy, radiology clinic, diabetes clinic and medical records. The first floor consists of dental and gynecology clinics, while the second floor includes child care clinic, and physical rehabilitation services such as physical therapy and water treatment. The Centre has also meeting rooms, medical education, administrative offices, stores, sample room and a medical laboratory. The stairs in the building are all located close to the entrances to the Centre in order to facilitate patients’ access to all sections on the first and second floors.
