WORKS MINISTRY COMMENCES THE REVAMP OF SH. AHMED BIN SALMAN AVENUE IN RIFFA 905

MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Eng. Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has commenced the revamp of Sh. Ahmed bin Salman Avenue in Riffa 905, extending from Riffa Avenue at the North to Sh. Isa Avenue at the South. The project is part of the Ministry’s programme to revamp old and deteriorated roads in residential areas in Bahrain cities. According to Al Salah, works involved in the project comprise of re-constructing and revamping Sh. Ahmed bin Salman Avenue at a length of 835m; with one way on each direction. Works also include re-constructing the avenue by removing the old asphalt layers and carry out levelling works, organizing the intersections between internal roads, constructing parking spaces on the sides of the road, implementing a storm water drainage network, implementing ground channels for present and future use, paving and pedestrian pavements works, in addition to lighting works. The BD409,032 project was awarded to National Excavations. Municipal Council Member and representative to the 1st Constituency at the Southern Governorate Mohammed Al Balooshi extended thanks to the Ministry of Works for their constant collaboration with the Municipal Council on the design and implementation of this vital project, which connects Blocks 907 & 905; branching of Riffa Avenue and Sh. Isa Avenue at the market.
